As of 12:00 p.m. today, February 29, 2024, a Texas FAIR Plan Association (TFPA) policy moratorium is in effect for nine counties in the Texas Panhandle due to active wildfires in the region. This means TFPA is currently not accepting applications for new or increased coverage for properties in these counties: Oldham, Moore, Potter, Hutchinson, Carson, Roberts, Gray, Hemphill, and Wheeler.
The policy moratorium may extend to additional counties if needed and will continue until the TFPA General Manager determines the fires no longer threaten properties in the area.
As the situation evolves, we will provide updates on any changes to this policy moratorium.
