CAT Plan Activated

We are closely monitoring developments related to Tropical Storm Laura and Tropical Depression 14 in the Caribbean. Considering the uncertainty surrounding the ultimate paths of these storms, we have activated our Catastrophe (CAT) Plan out of an abundance of caution. Activating our CAT Plan allows us to start readying the resources we will need to respond to our policyholders should a storm make landfall in our coverage area.

Both TWIA and TFPA are still accepting applications for new and increased coverage at this time. If either storm is determined to be a threat to a portion of the FAIR Plan coverage area, we may issue a moratorium on binding coverage in the affected areas. If this happens, we will make a public announcement and will alert agents through an agent bulletin.
