Policy Moratorium in Effect

Texas FAIR Plan Association (TFPA) has determined that the storm known as Hurricane Delta is a threat to coverage areas and has issued a moratorium on binding coverage, impacting the following Texas counties:

Angelina, Aransas, Austin, Bowie, Brazoria, Calhoun, Cameron, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Gregg, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Jasper, Jefferson, Kenedy, Kleberg, Liberty, Marion, Matagorda, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Panola, Polk, Refugio, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Shelby, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton, Willacy.

As of early this morning, October 7, 2020, TFPA can no longer accept new or increased coverage applications in impacted counties. When Hurricane Delta is no longer deemed a threat, we will send a bulletin and post on our website to let agents and other stakeholders know that we are once again processing applications. Please note that applications submitted prior to the moratorium will be processed according to normal underwriting rules.

TFPA policyholders or their agents whose insured properties sustain damage can file claims online at www.texasfairplan.org/claimscenter. Claims can also be filed by calling TFPA’s 24-hour Claims Center at (800) 979-6440.
